Dermatology, also known as Dermatology, is a medical science that deals with diseases of skin extensions such as skin and hair, sweat and sebaceous glands, nails. Dermatology has emerged from the combination of cosmetics with skin and venereal diseases and its specialist is called Dermatologist.

The main diseases that dermatologists are interested in are;

  • Acne (pimples)
  • Parasitic skin diseases (Lice, Scabies etc.)
  • Fungal Diseases: athlete's foot, body fungus, nail fungus, scalp fungus, vaginal yeast infections
  • Bacterial and viral rash diseases (skin abscess and other inflammatory diseases, scarlet measles, rubella, chicken pox, shingles)
