The word anesthesia is derived from the Latin word "Anaesthesia" and means "sensation, numbing".

Reanimation means reanimation.

The drugs used to prevent the patient from experiencing pain and suffering during the operation are determined and applied by the anesthesia and reanimation specialist/physician.

It is the primary responsibility of the anesthesiologist to minimize the negative effects of the surgical operation on the patient and to ensure that the patient wakes up from the operation without affecting his vital functions.

There are three different methods of anesthesia: General Anesthesia, Local Anesthesia and Regional Anesthesia.
